Boardmarks™ is operated by Alphalock Ltd. This page covers every cookie the platform sets, what each one is for, and how long it lasts. It is a complete list, not a sample.
What we do not do
We set no advertising cookies, no tracking cookies and no third-party analytics cookies. Nothing here is used to build a profile of you, follow you to other websites, or target you with anything. We do not sell personal data. The platform also stores nothing in your browser's local storage or session storage.

Why there is no cookie banner
A banner exists to ask permission for cookies that are not needed to run the service, which in practice almost always means advertising and tracking. This platform sets none of those. Of the cookies above, one is what keeps you signed in, one is set only because you chose a setting, and the third holds a colour. We would rather not put a click in front of every visitor to ask about that. If we ever add a cookie that genuinely does need your permission, we will ask before setting it, and this page will say so.
Other services
A few parts of the platform are run for us by other companies. The check on the sign-in page that tells a person from an automated script is one, and it may set its own cookie, on its own domain, while that check runs. Card payment happens away from this site, on the payment provider's own pages and under their own policy. Any cookie set by another company is theirs rather than ours, and is governed by their policy, not this one. Our privacy policy covers who processes personal data on our behalf.
Refusing cookies
Every browser can block or delete cookies for a particular site, in its own settings. Nothing on this platform will stop you doing that. Be aware of what it costs: without the sign-in cookie you cannot stay signed in, so courses, certificates and anything else behind a login become unreachable. Public course catalogues remain readable.

If the list above changes, we will change this page and the date at the top of it.
